The collection is made in Northern Portugal at Kyaia, the home of the brand where they have been making fine men's and women's footwear for the past thirty years. The range is basically split down to three very distinct areas: Shoes – which run year round being updated every season with the latest colours and materials. Sandals: which come on a variety of wedge heels and sol units. Boot: spread across quite a wide set of looks but essentially high leg boots, mid boots and of course ankle boots. The range is made from the best quality materials such as the rug leather that is used on most of the boots like Mol and Mes, this has a waxy finish and wears really well. Then there is the mousse leather used on some of the lighter shoes and sandals often mixed with fine nubuck. Fly London – history and ranges


It was 1995 when the brand came in to existence alongside its older brother, Base London, the same footwear agent being responsible for both. At that time there were plenty of shoe shops around but very few bona fida brands so there was a gap in the market for a stylish mid market brand that could sit in one of the up and coming branded footwear retailers like Office and Schuh but sit above the mainstream.

The brand was developed with shoe manufacturer Kyaia. Based in Guimaraes in Northern Portugal. Fly had been making footwear for 20 years and supplied many leading names on th high street including Ravel. Young footwear designer Perry King developed the first ranges which featured quirky feature soles, stud, overlays and the kind of handwriting that is still being developed in the brand today.

The brand is loosely developed in to three distinct areas:

Fly Shoes

A range of sensible footwear on flat or wedge units suitable for the work, office or just if you want to look smart. Yag, Yoni and Yaz typify the core of this range with leather and patent uppers. This range is extended during the Spring to include high fashion version with chop out upper, sling back and open waisted shoes.

Fly London Sandals

From Ladies' sandal versions on classic wedge soles to high cork and EVA platforms, Fly produce a comprehensive range in all the latest fashion colours. All are highly branded with feature out soles, embossed buckles and trims.

Fly London Boots

A staple of every Autumn season on Shoes.co.uk offer a distinctive collection of high quality winter fly boots. From classic low wedges in rug leather and patents to boots on higher wedges in polished leathers Fly's develop great quality ankle, mid and high leg boots to complement the great range of footwear on offer.
