Types of Base London Footwear

Base Loafers and Moccasins

The brand started in the business in 1995 juts making moccasins which were had stitched just like a slipper would be made and made on a hot last to shape the upper. The original shape was very similar to the Patrick Cox Wannabe which was hugely popular at the time. They were available in black leather but soon started to make tan moccasins and even snake skin leather which became pretty popular at the time. This would be about the time of Britpop, when Oasis and Blur were fighting it out for number one.

Base London Formal Shoes

Hot on the heels of the original collection came a collection of formals with toe caps, brogues and smooth fronted uppers making an appearance on square, semi round and almond toes. In some cases these would be with a leather sole and a leather lining. The ubiquitous Base Tan Brogue made its appearance in 2010 and has been a staple part of the range ever since, In fact it is safe to say that that one shoe has noe become a staple part of every stylish man's wardrobe - it just look so British, so sleek and versatile, as good in a suit or a pair of turned up skinny jeans!

Base Leisure Shoes

The collection has expanded to include a selection of well priced leisure shoes that look equally as good dressed up or dressed down. They include Storm, the shape of which has been in the range for many years taking its cue from the Wallaby look from around the same time as the loafers. This has lead to a proliferation of stylish casuals that site perfectly alongside the formals and boots to add to your contemporary wardrobe. Self or natural laces complete the combination giving you the perfect weekend shoe to kick back and relax in!

Base London fashion Boots

Completing the collection is their rage of stylish fashion boots from Chelsea boots and desert boot styles to high fashion British styles work boots. So much work goes in to these creations to make them look as though they have always meant to sit alongside their brothers in your wardrobe. Effortlessly stylish, taking the pain away from trawling the shops for other brands. Trust base to do it for you.
