Iconic label Ben Sherman became huge in the 1960s with their button down collar shirts in a variety of prints and checks. In the later 60s with flower power they came in all kinds of crazy prints and colours launching a full clothing range. They were particularly popular with the mods and later skins and suede heads.After falling from grace the brand was brought back in the mid 90s as pure dance music gave way to Brit Pop and the brand was central to the look. Ben Sherman shoes were launched in 1997 and were an instant hit with the likes of Office and Shellys. The Italian trim loafer was the cornerstone of Ben Sherman's footwear success with the handwritten logo featuring on the metal trim. The Ben Sherman Desert Boot was another instant classic, developed in Italy it featured a rubber sole with a clever Union Jack emboss under the heel. All th eearly collections were developed by a company called PIL and Network CFD - actually the same owners as Shoes.co.uk! so we go back quite a long way with Ben Sherman!
